Jeep recently announced the return of one of their most popular models, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The Gladiator is a mid-sized truck that holds all the capabilities of a classic off-road Jeep. The 2020 model is fitted with a number of features that focus on passenger safety and driving dynamics. This powerful and fuel efficient Jeep-turned-Truck is completely redesigned for the new year and continues to be one of the most versatile Trucks on the market.
The 2020 Jeep Gladiator features best in class towing, 4×4 payload capacity, and 33-inch off-road tires. Running the Gladiator is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, rated at 285hp and 260lb-ft. of torque. All models include a manual six-speed transmission, with the option to upgrade to an automatic. The Gladiator has a reputation for its power and efficiency, and this year’s model certainly lives up to it. Optional upgrades under the hood include a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine matched by an eight-speed transmission. This off-road truck will have no issue climbing the toughest of terrain with off-road tuned suspension.
With best-in-class towing and 4×4 payload, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator can tow up to 7,650 pounds and has a 1,600lbs capacity of payload. Off-road capabilities also feature the Track-Lok torque control system, Tru-Lok electronic front and rear axle lockers, Dana 44 axles, and up to 30 inches of water fording. The 2020 Jeep Gladiator will be available in three different levels of trim: Sport, Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon.
The exterior design of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator is one of the most innovative and desirable of its class. The iconic seven-slot grille from the wrangler is featured on the Gladiator, though slightly modified to help optimize aerodynamics, it gives the Gladiator the unmistakable look of a Jeep. The bed of the truck is modified for ultimate durability and accessibility. This includes features like under-rail bed lighting, an external house-hold type power source, and integrated tie-downs for ultimate cargo storage capabilities. Standard on all models you will find body-color sport bars, a sun-rider soft-top to enjoy the open air, and the classic option to detach the doors and roof of the cab. You will have no issue finding the configuration that suits your needs, as the Gladiator has several different combinations of body parts to choose from.
Inside the 2020 Jeep Gladiator is a high quality, well crafted, and durable cabin fitted with all the features you could ask for. Features include a push-button starter, cloth or leather upholstered seats with lumbar support, heated seats, and a variety of small cargo storage space. Only available on the Gladiator, all-new rear seats can be folded to reveal a lockable storage bin. The infotainment system on the Gladiator features a 7-inch touchscreen display which provides information on the status of the engine, tires, and media. Optional upgrades to include a portable wireless speaker, LED lights illuminating the end of the bed, and a forward-facing camera for ultimate off-road vision.
