2021 Ram 2500 vs Ford F-250
A big job calls for a powerful truck, and two of the best on the market today are the Ram 2500 and the Ford F-250. Both of these pickups come with powerful engine options and epic towing and payload capacity, but that’s not all! You also get impressively luxurious interiors and a ton of tech equipment to go along with all that power. We here at Pinckney Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM think that either one of these trucks would make a tremendous addition to your driveway, but which one has the advantage. To answer this question, we have pitted these two trucks against each other to see which one comes out on top!
2021 Ram 2500 Power & Handling
There are two impressive engines available for the 2021 Ram 2500, and both deliver the kind of power drivers expect from a Ram! Standard is a 6.4-liter V8 that delivers a massive 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. All trims outside of the Power Wagon have the option of a 6.7-liter turbodiesel that pumps out 370 horsepower and a tremendous 850 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with a quick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel-drive is an available option on all trims, but on the Power Wagon, it comes standard!
2021 Ford F-250 Power & Handling
Three engine options are available for the Ford F-250, and you get some terrific power on each. Standard on most trims is a 6.2-liter V8 that comes with 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque and pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission. You have the option of a 7.3-liter V8 that delivers drivers 430 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque, which also gets an automatic transmission. A diesel engine is also available if you so choose. Rear-wheel-drive comes standard, but four-wheel-drive is available. While these numbers are impressive, they do pale in comparison to what the Ram 2500 offers.
2021 Ram 2500 Features & Design
A whopping seven trim levels are available for the 2021 Ram 2500, and you can find an abundance of tech and luxury items on each. The XLT adds to it with 18-inch wheels, heated exterior mirrors, an integrated brake controller, cloth upholstery, and an 8-inch touchscreen with navigation and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Luxury features for the F-250 are available on the Lariat as it has power-folding tow mirrors, power-sliding rear windows, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, and rear parking sensors. Higher trims of the Ford F-250 round things out with a remote start, remote tailgate release, LED bed lights, keyless entry with push-button start, LED headlights, heated steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, heated steering wheel, a moonroof, and adaptive cruise control.
