What engines are available?
Three potent engines are available for the Jeep Wrangler, with the standard being a 3.6-liter V6 that pumps out 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Pairing with this engine is either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission, both of which offer you a smooth ride on and off the road. You get the option of a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, which provides drivers with 270 horses and 295 lb-ft of torque. Of course, we can’t forget about the turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6 with an impressive 442 lb-ft of torque and 260 horsepower. Later in the model year, you can expect the plug-in hybrid 4xe version, which takes the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinders horsepower output to 375.
What are some of the 2021 Wranglers features?
Four trim levels and several sub-trims are available for the Jeep Wrangler, so you are sure to get plenty of fun features. Kicking things off is the Sport trim, which comes with 17-inch wheels, skid plates, tow hooks, fog lights, and a 5-inch touchscreen. There is a Willy’s version for the Sport, which tacks on a limited-slip rear differential, four-wheel disk breaks, and all-weather floor mats. Stepping up to the Sport S adds alloy wheels, air conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and tinted windows. The Altitude version of the Sport S adds to this with black 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires and an upgraded off-road suspension. Next is the Sahara, which comes standard with full-time four-wheel-drive, a body-colored grille with chrome inserts, body-colored fender flairs, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Sahara comes with both an Altitude and High Altitude versions, which add to the long list of features with a body-colored three-piece hardtop with headliner, leather seats, and a sport-tuned suspension. You also get an 8.4-inch touchscreen, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, parking sensors, LED headlights, taillights, and daytime running lights. If you’re looking for your Wrangler to go off-road, the Rubicon trim has you covered with 17-inch wheels with 33-inch off-road tires, 4:1 low-range gearing, electronic locking front and rear differentials, rock rails, and an electronic disconnecting front stabilizer bar.
What are some of the safety features?
Your safety is incredibly vital to Jeep, which is why each version of the Wrangler comes with a long list of available safety features that are designed to keep you and your family safe every time you drive it. Available is a Blind-Spot Monitoring System that checks for vehicles in your blind spot area and helps you make safer lane changes. Also available is an Adaptive Cruise Control System, which adjusts the Wranglers speed so that you maintain a constant distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. The last system we will discuss is the Forward Collision Mitigation System, which warns you of a potential frontal collision and can even apply the brakes in specific scenarios.
